There is no lack of value lunch options around town. And one of our favorites is Medz at the basement of Orchard Central. We loved the yummy and heart-warming value lunch which starts from just $8.90! (comes with a drink)
Roasted marinated whole Chicken Leg with sauteed vegetables and wedges. Chicken was well-marinated and nicely roasted. Thumbs up for the size of the chicken piece!
Greek style Fish Stew with parrot fish, tomatoes, olives, capers with chunky boiled potatoes. I loved the heartiness of the stew sauce (more please!) and it was nice of the staff to accommodate our requests for less potatoes and replace with more vegetables instead.
We got a Rosti to try. I still prefer Marche’s version which is dryer and more crisp. This was a tad wet, was not quite holding together, and a struggle slice…? Hmm. Skipping it the next time.

Food – Excellent quality and portion for the price
Prices – For the location, setting and quality of food, $8.90 is a steal.
*Come earlier to get a seat. It gets crowded and noisier once the lunch-time crowd comes in.
